SOPA Hosts the 2025 Archery Australia Para National Championships

Jul 9, 2025

Para and Visually Impaired archers from around the country travelled to Sydney Olympic Park to compete over three days in March 2025.

SOPA member Jonathan Milne secured gold in Men’s Compound, with Kieran Dinnerville taking silver and a local archer, Lewis Matthews, claiming bronze. In Women’s Recurve, AJ Jennings won against SOPA’s Imalia Oktrininda. Stuart Hume took gold in Men’s Recurve, with Anas Helmy (also from SOPA) earning silver and Tom Holland securing bronze. Hume and Holland also won gold in the Recurve Doubles. Chris Davis dominated the Men’s W1 division, while Craig Newbery and Lewis Parker won in the VI1 and VI2/3 divisions, respectively. A full list of results are available here.

Feedback from the participants was extremely positive and we are grateful to those took the time to express their thanks to all those involved in making the weekend a smooth and memorable event for all. Thanks also to the volunteers and agents who gave their time and energy to help make it such a success.
