Shooting at SOPA as a Visiting Archer
Free tournament spots for regional archers
In a new initiative designed to strengthen ties across the state’s archery community. Starting 1st September 2026, SOPA has announced that it will be sponsoring six complimentary tournament spots specifically reserved for regional NSW archery club members at any upcoming SOPA club tournament. Offered strictly on a first-come, first-served basis, this initiative gives regional archers direct access to shoot at one of Australia’s premier outdoor facilities without the hurdle of event entry fees.

How to Secure a Spot
The six sponsored entries will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to active members of registered regional NSW archery clubs. Archers who wish to claim one of the available spots are encouraged to act quickly:
Eligibility: Must hold an active membership with an affiliated regional NSW archery club.
Registration: Reach out directly to the SOPA tournament organizing committee via their official contact channels to claim a spot before the allocation is exhausted.

A regional club archer must not claim the complimentary shoot more than ONCE in a calander year
Whether you are looking to post a official tournament score, gain competition experience on a high-grade range, or simply make new friends who share a passion for the bow and arrow, this initiative offers a fantastic opportunity to step up to the line. SOPA looks forward to welcoming our regional neighbours and taking another step toward a more connected, inclusive archery community across New South Wales.
Practice or train at SOPA as a visitor
SOPA welcomes archers visiting from other Australian clubs and internationally.
If you would like to use our range to practice while visiting Sydney Olympic Park we require that you request authorisation from the club by filling out the form on this page.
Once your application is approved by an authorised SOPA representative we'll send you a payment link for the one-off fee of A$25 per day.
NOTE: Only members of approved local or international clubs and associations are entitled to use the range after they have been approved to do so by SOPA Inc.
Visiting archers must also agree to abide by the Club Rules and agree to our Code of Conduct.
Join a SOPA club shoot
Members from other Archery Australia affiliated clubs are welcome to join our club shoots for a $10 fee per shoot.
Step 1:
Register in Archers Diary.
Step 2:
Pay your entry fee using the link in Archers Diary.
Step 3:
Our Tournament Manager will assign you to a target once we have been notified of your successful payment.
Step 4:
Join us on the day of the club shoot and check the target allocation sheet for your lane number.
