It was a full house at SOPA today for a Round 5 SOPA Distance Championship in conjunction with a double QRE. 23 lanes were in use, with 51 registered archers, of which about 25% were competing as Para archers.
Today SOPA recognised three members who gained selection for the Australian team competing at the World Field Archery Championships in Yankton, USA. That’s a great result for a club that doesn’t have its own field course, and is a testament to the dedication and persistence of the archers who travelled widely to train and compete.
The archers are:
Millie Fisher – Barebow U21 Women
Cirilo Almario – Barebow Men
Alex Sami – Compound Men
